Managing Director

Harpa Elín is the Managing Director at GeoThermHydro. She holds a B.A. degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Iceland and a Masters Degree in International Relations from Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals in Spain. She furthermore holds a diploma in Logical Framework for Project Management from the Nicaraguan Engineering University (UNI). Previous to joining GeoThermHydro in June 2009 Harpa Elín worked with The Icelandic Development Agency (ICEIDA) and Geysir Green Energy in the geothermal sector in Nicaragua. In Nicaragua she also worked for ICEIDA as a project advisor in the social sector and as an independent consultant to various organizations in subjects such as health, education, human rights and gender equality.

Mechanical Engineer

Mauricio Teke has an Industrial Mechanical Engineering degree from the Santa María Technical University in Chile, and a master degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Iceland, with specialization in geothermal energy as part of the Nordic Master program in Innovative and Sustainable Energy Engineering - ISEE from the Royal Institute of Technology KTH in Sweden. Before joining GeoThermHydro he worked as project engineer for Universidad Santa María Empresas, developing projects in renewable energies and energy efficiency areas, and he also worked for I.M. Vogt as project engineer in the mining and industry sectors.
